1. Who we are
Turkfest helps people discover Turkish concerts, festivals, performances, and cultural events across Europe. For privacy questions or data requests, contact privacy@turkfest.de.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you sign in with an email magic link, we process your email address and an account identifier supplied by Supabase Auth. We use this information to authenticate you and associate saved events, follows, preferences, and notifications with your account.
Event preferences
When you use the app while signed in, we store actions such as saved events, followed artists, followed cities, notification preferences, and notification read state.
Push notification installation data
If you enable notifications, we store the device installation identifier, APNs device token, platform, environment, and last-seen information so Apple push notifications can reach the correct installation. This data is used for app functionality and is not used for tracking.
Location
If you choose the Nearby feature, Turkfest may use your approximate location during the session to find nearby events. The app does not need to store your precise location to provide this feature.
Analytics
With analytics consent, Turkfest may record product interactions such as notification opens and ticket-link clicks. You can withdraw analytics consent in the app's Privacy Center. We do not use these interactions for cross-app tracking.
3. Why we use information
- To authenticate accounts and provide account features.
- To show events, artists, cities, recommendations, and saved content.
- To deliver selected push notifications and saved-event reminders.
- To protect the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.
- To understand product interactions when analytics consent is active.
4. Notifications and consent
Marketing-style artist alerts and city updates are opt-in. Saved-event reminders are tied to an explicit saved-event action and can be disabled in Notification Preferences. Apple notification permission is separate from Turkfest notification preferences.
5. Sharing and service providers
Turkfest uses Supabase for authentication, database operations, and server-side functions. Apple Push Notification service is used to deliver push notifications. Ticket links and map links may open third-party services selected by the event or user. We do not sell personal information.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account information and preferences while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account from Profile or Privacy Center. Account deletion removes the account and associated user-owned records, subject to limited legal obligations that may apply.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, or delete personal information. Use the in-app deletion flow or contact privacy@turkfest.de for a request.
8. Security
We use authenticated sessions, row-level access controls, and server-side authorization controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so protect access to your email account and device.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version.
